Residential Assistant
A Residential Assistant is responsible for providing support and care to individuals in a residential or group home setting. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a supportive, inclusive, and community-focused environment. Duties include:
- Assisting residents with personal care, medication, and daily routines.
- Promoting independence and skill development in line with individual care plans.
- Monitoring and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Supporting residents in social activities and community engagement.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and supportive living environment.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and reporting any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Providing emotional support and fostering a positive living atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a dedication to improving residents’ quality of life.
- Previous experience in caregiving or residential support is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
